VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Program Manager - Carson, CA or Arlington, TX

Location:  Arlington, TX or Carson, CA

Salary:  $115,000 - $125,000yr + bonus

Summary:

The VMI Program Manager is the Company focal for all operational and administrative duties supporting a portfolio of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) or Value-Added Service clients. Acts as liaison between the functional GracoRoberts departments and serves as the client’s advocate. Collaborates with, supports, and supplements GracoRoberts staff to ensure a smooth and seamless flow of material and that inventory levels are maintained per contractual requirements. Proactively triages issues that may arise on a daily basis, assuming responsibility for resolution.

What You Will Do Everyday:

    • Leads overall strategy for GracoRoberts Vendor Managed Inventory Programs
    • Coordinates response to client's ad-hoc requests including items such as requests for data, reports, and alternate sourcing. 
    • Partners with the respective GracoRoberts departments to ensure the requests are addressed adequately.
    • Regular status and metric reporting on clients.
    • Partners with Technical Account Managers (outside sales) to sell the program.
    • Supports, trains and coaches VMI Onsite Representatives.

Requirements:

    • Experience in the Aerospace MRO or chemical field (required).
    • Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred)
    • 4+ years' experience in program management. 
    • Possesses a sense of ownership and urgency.  Tenacious in ensuring that the portfolio of clients is supported to the contractual requirements.
    • Experience working with union facilities (strongly preferred)
    • Ability to travel < 30% of the time.
